Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) B.Ed. (ODL) Admission Notification 2026-27 – Apply Online
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad has released the Entrance Test Notification for admission into the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed. – Open and Distance Learning) Programme for the academic year 2026-27. The programme is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
Eligible candidates can submit their online applications through the official BRAOU portal within the prescribed schedule.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility conditions:

| 2 | Should have secured at least 50% marks in B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.C.A., B.Sc. (Home Science), BBM, BBA, B.E., or B.Tech. |
| 3 | SC/ST/BC/PWD candidates should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination. |
| 4 | B.E./B.Tech. candidates must have studied Science or Mathematics as one of the subjects. |
| 5 | B.C.A. candidates should have studied the concerned subjects at Intermediate level. |
| 6 | Candidates who passed the qualifying examination on or before July 2026 are eligible. |
| 7 | If the required percentage is not secured in Graduation, Post Graduation marks will be considered, provided the relevant subject was studied at PG level. |
| 8 | Eligible categories include: • Trained in-service teachers in elementary education. • Candidates who completed an NCTE-recognized Teacher Education Programme through Regular (Face-to-Face) mode. |
| 9 | Reservations for SC/ST/BC/PWD categories will be applicable as per Government rules. |
| 10 | EWS reservation is applicable on submission of valid certificates. |
| 11 | PH, Sports, NCC and CAP quota candidates must produce valid certificates. |
| 12 | Minimum Age: 21 years as on 1 July 2026. There is no upper age limit. |
Important Notes
- Candidates who passed professional/job-oriented courses such as MBBS, BDS, BPT, BAMS, BL, LLB, B.Pharm., BHMT, BVSC, B.Sc. (AG), B.A. (Languages), BOL, etc., are not eligible.
- Candidates who completed Diploma in ECE/PSE or other Pre-Primary Teacher Training Courses are not eligible.
- Candidates who completed an NCTE-recognized Teacher Education Programme through Distance Mode are not eligible.

Hall Ticket
Candidates can download their Hall Tickets from the official BRAOU website from 29 July 2026. Candidates must affix a recent passport-size photograph (same as uploaded in the online application) and get it attested by a Gazetted Officer or the Principal of their college. Entry to the examination hall will not be permitted without the Hall Ticket.
